April 9 - April 23, 2026: Notice of Public Comment Period

The FrontRunner 2X project team has conducted an analysis to evaluate projected noise impacts to properties near the future double-track section in Woods Cross. Based on the results, the project team has determined that a specific area along the FrontRunner rail on 875 W. qualifies for a noise wall.

Property owners who are considered “benefitted receivers” for the proposed noise wall have been notified and are invited to provide feedback or obtain additional information by completing the online survey. The survey allows “benefited receivers” to submit comments regarding the proposed noise wall in Woods Cross.

A “benefited receiver” is an impacted property owner whose property would receive the noise reduction goal with the proposed mitigation measure. Benefitted receivers are often owner of properties adjacent to future projects that will generate a noise impact.

Comments provided to the project team by April 23, 2026, will be reviewed and considered by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and documented in the project record. For more information or to submit a comment for the proposed noise wall, visit FrontRunner Project - PublicInput.
